Help Me Protect Myself Against Bullies

Sunday, March 11th, 2012

I hear this all the time: Help me protect myself against bullies. Or, more commonly: How can my son protect himself against bullies? A friend of a friend, whose son is in his first year at college, sent me part of an email he sent to a family friend last week.

“One kid is well-known around school as the campus bully. He seems to think he’s the most important guy on campus, and as a result, is well known for literally throwing his weight around against the other guys. He doesn’t hesitate to pick on other students, especially freshmen. He is my classmate in one of my science classes and had been looking to bully me in the past couple of weeks. I told my mom about this and she sent me a Runt stun gun. I had never heard of Runt stun guns, so I went online to find out more about them. I was happy to find out that it is a safe self-defense weapon that we helpless males can use when being picked on by punks. The Runt stun gun was the highest voltage stun gun that I found online. It’s got three voltage options – 2.5 million volts, 3.5 million volts and 4.5 million volts. When I use any on the bad guy, he should be incapacitated in a second or two. I learned that a stun gun, being a non-lethal weapon, would not severely hurt an aggressor. It will only incapacitate temporarily, leaving him debilitated for under an hour. The Runt stun gun is also compact enough for me to hide it in the palm of my hand. This small stun gun can be tucked easily into my pant pockets. The Runt that mom sent to me is also rechargeable, so I don’t have to worry about buying batteries. I just plug it into the wall once a week to make sure it is always ready to use.

I was carrying my Runt stun gun last Monday because I have had enough of the jerk who had been bothering me the past couple of weeks and I felt ready to protect myself against this bully. He had been trying to extort me and even threatened to hit me if I did not give in to his demands. When he saw me at the cafeteria, he resumed the extortion. I could sense that he was going to make good his menace and I reached into my pocket to turn the stun gun on. When he was about to hit me, I suddenly took out my high voltage stun gun and stuck it onto his shoulder. He screamed like a little girl and his face turned pale after a second of two of being hit by the stun gun and he dropped down to the floor. The other students around me cheered me on after I beat the notorious bully.”

Child Guard Panda Can Save Your Child From Going Missing

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

The Child Guard Panda can save your child from going missing! Seems like children go missing in this country every week … don’t let this happen to your child! I’ve written a blog post previously (July 7, 2010) about the Child Guard Panda and how it can save your child from going missing. But in light of such continuing tragedies, I thought it was appropriate to write another.

No parent should ever have to experience the horror of realizing that your child is missing. You can easily save your child from wandering away and even from being abducted for less than $30.00.

Protect Your Child From Going Missing

Simply place the Child Guard Panda on your child’s wrist. Kids enjoy wearing the cartoon animal-shaped transmitter, which sends a constant signal to the receiver, which is held by you, the parent. It comes with a keychain ring and a clasp so you can easily attach it to your keychain if you are out and about, or to your belt loop if you’re around the house. The signal is adjustable – from a distance of 6 to 30 feet, so when your child goes beyond the set distance, your receiver starts to beep, letting you know that your child is starting to wander off. Please protect your child or your children from becoming a statistic. Save yourself the horror and misery that comes from not knowing where your child is and whether he or she will ever be found.

This is a no-brainer. Keep your kids safe and under your control by clicking HERE. It will take you to the page where you can purchase the Child Guard Panda.

Intellispy Computer Tracking Software -- Arm Yourself Against Internet Predators!

How can you protect your children from internet predators? How can you be sure that your kids are staying away from websites where they may come into contact with predators and pedophiles who could seduce them into meeting face-to-face so that they can have sex with your children? Would you know if your son or daughter was in contact with an online sexual predator? Consider the following scenario:

You walk into your 13-year-old’s bedroom and she quickly closes the lid of her laptop computer. Lately, she has been spending hours on-line at night and on the weekends. You’ve also noticed she has become more withdrawn from your family and no longer wants to spend time with her older siblings. And then yesterday, she received a package in the mail from an address you didn’t recognize. When you asked your daughter what it was, you got a strong feeling that she lied about it. What’s going on? Is this normal pre-teen or teenage behavior?

Learn more about this vital issue and the steps you can take to protect your children from internet predators. Read my article on Yahoo’s Associated Content by clicking HERE. It may very well save your son or daughter from becoming a victim of sexual assault. It could even save your child’s life.

Buy a Pepper Shot Tri-Pack for Your Personal Safety

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Should you buy a Pepper Shot Tri-Pack for your personal safety? Knowing I have a website that sells self-defense and personal security products, people often ask me what they should get for their own personal safety. For almost everyone, I suggest that one thing they buy and keep handy at all times is pepper spray. Even better, we should all keep pepper spray available for use in our automobiles, in our homes and on our persons. Toward this end, the Pepper Shot Tri-Pack is a great choice. It contains three canisters of pepper spray: one in an automobile visor clip for your car, van or truck; a second with a quick-release keychain to carry with you everywhere you go; and a third, larger wall-mount canister for your home and family protection. The following story illustrates the importance of being prepared for when you least expect trouble.

Kim had just accepted a big promotion, which meant a bigger paycheck, but a longer commute. Fortunately, she lived in the outskirts of the city and commuted into the suburbs for work, so she didn’t get stuck in the crazy traffic that some of her friends had to endure every day. One morning, she had to get up extra early to get ready for an important presentation. Rolling down a country road at over seventy miles per hour, she noticed red flashing lights in her rear-view mirror.

“Ugh!” she grunted. “Two weeks into this job and I’m already getting a speeding ticket.”

Still too early for many of the gas stations to be open, she pulled over into a lighted space on the side of the road. Under the lights, she noticed the police car was unmarked. A man got out of the vehicle and walked toward her car. She rolled down the window a little bit as he approached, but only enough to reach her hand through to hand him her driver’s license.

“Good morning, ma’am,” he said. “Do you know how fast you were driving through that forty-five mile an hour zone?” Kim squinted her eyes and said, “I’m sorry, officer, but I don’t honestly know. How fast was I going?”

“Let’s not worry about that just yet,” he said. “I’ll need you to step out of the car, please, ma’am.”

Kim thought it was strange that he hadn’t asked for her license or proof of insurance. And when she took a longer look at him, she noticed he wasn’t wearing a uniform.

“Officer, could I see your identification, please?” she asked. “Ma’am, I am ordering you to get out of this car RIGHT NOW,” he demanded.

Kim now noticed that he looked way too unkempt to be a real police officer. At the same moment, the man tried to reach in through Kim’s car window. She reached up and pulled down her emergency canister of pepper spray attached to the automobile’s visor with a simple clip. Aiming right through the crack in the window, Kim shot her attacker right in the eyes. He screamed and tried to rub the stinging defense spray from his face. As he stumbled into the road, she started up her car and sped up the highway. She found an open convenience store a few miles up the road, where she called the police.

Real police officers found her attacker stumbling through the woods not far from where Kim left him. It turned out he had been preying on women in the early morning hours for months, but hadn’t been caught. Kim not only saved herself, she helped get a dangerous man off the streets and in jail.

You can get pepper spray in the same convenient automobile visor clip that Kim used as part of our PEPPER SHOT TRI-PACK. The Tri-Pack also includes a large wall-mounted canister for home protection and a personal-safety canister on a quick-release keychain.

To purchase your own Pepper Shot Tri-Pack, please CLICK HERE. Concerned about having to pay high shipping charges? No worries! Safe & Sound Security Products now offers lower-cost shipping options. Many customers can get the Tri-Pack shipped to their home via USPS for as low as $3.24!

“I’m Not Comfortable Around Guns.”

This Stun Gun Kicks Butt ... and is Perfect For Women

A close friend of mine practically gasped when I told her I had a revolver and a shotgun in my home. Her response was, “I’m not comfortable around guns. But I’d fight tooth and nail to defend myself and my son if anyone ever broke into the house.”

I wasn’t surprised at her reaction. I told her that I’m not truly comfortable around guns either … I’ve seen first hand the damage they can do to the human body. But I’ve been trained in their proper use and I believe that, under the right circumstances, I could and would use a gun to defend myself and my family. And I believe I could live with it if I ever had to take another life.

But for anyone who isn’t comfortable around guns, there are options … non-lethal, but very effective options … for self-defense. One of my most favorite is the stun gun. Specifically, small but VERY powerful stun guns that will knock any attacker on his ass. The Runt 4.5 Million Volt Rechargeable Stun Gun is a great choice for anyone, but especially women. It’s palm-sized, easy to grip, and easy to use. And the rechargeable version means you never have to worry about dead batteries.

Buy a Diversion Safe BEFORE Your Valuables are Stolen

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Buy a Diversion Safe BEFORE your valuables are stolen …. My mother and I met for lunch the other day and one of the first things she said to me was, “My friend needed some of your products, but now it’s too late.” I asked her what she meant and she proceeded to tell me about how her friend’s grandson stole a large sum of money from her and her husband. I’ll leave out everyone’s name, since this is a true story. She was referring to the diversion safes that I offer for sale on my website, Safe & Sound Security Products.

Anyway, just recently, a very nice family was victimized by one of their own family members. This young man is the son of a police detective and was raised in a good family. They are church-going people who spend a lot of time with family members. For whatever reason, however, this young man started to use drugs and eventually became a heroin addict. No matter what they tried to do to help him, he continued to use drugs. And now he has turned to crime to support his addiction. The last thing this family wanted to think about was the possibility that he would steal from his own family. But it happened. His grandmother, who is my mother’s best friend, told my mother that he stole over $600 from her and about another $50 from his grandfather. They don’t own any safes, diversion safes or otherwise.

These people, like so many of us, didn’t think they needed to safeguard against their own family members and left this money where it was too easy to find. Knowing I sell diversion safes on my website, my mother thought that if her friends had hidden their money inside these items, their grandson would never have thought to look for money in them.

Diversion safes look like ordinary household items: brand name soda cans like Dr. Pepper and 7-Up, books, Miller Beer, household cleaners such as Ajax, shaving cream cans, automotive products, canned dog food, peanut butter, Pringles potato chips, an electrical wall socket, and even a functional flower pot. You simply hide your money or valuables inside, and store the safe with other like items.

For example, put the soda and beer cans inside your refrigerator. . . you are hiding your valuables in plain sight! With the flower pot safe, you can use it as an ordinary planter for your houseplants or seasonal flowers. Meanwhile, your valuables are tucked safely inside. Burglars and thieves are in a hurry to get in, steal, and get out. They won’t have time to look through all of your “ordinary” food and household items to search for money and valuables.

Protect your money and valuables BEFORE someone tries to steal from you. Buy a DIVERSION SAFE. They work! To see the wide variety of diversion safes available from Safe & Sound Security Products, click any of the above photos or links, or just click HERE.

Will Your Daughter Be Safe on Her College Campus?

Friday, January 13th, 2012

Will your daughter be safe on her college campus? This may seem like an extreme question to ask and I’m not trying to be a fear monger. I’m just trying to draw attention to the fact that college life, although mostly a fun and educational experience, is often fraught with dangers for young students, especially women. Before your daughter leaves home to attend college, make sure she is equipped to protect herself as well as to educate herself.

College Safety for Women on Campus

What am I getting at here? Crime, of course. The large number of crimes that are committed on college campuses every year make sense if you think about it. National statistics routinely reveal that the majority of crimes in this country are committed by young people, generally in their late teens and into their mid-twenties. College students fall into this age category. It is also a fact that a significant number of those who commit crimes do so while they are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. It’s an understatement to say that college students often indulge in alcohol and drug use. So it’s just a matter of putting two and two together: young people, who are more likely to commit crimes than people in older age brackets, are also likely to use alcohol and/or drugs while they are at college.

The statistics on crimes committed against female college students can make your head spin. Not necessarily because of the numbers of crimes against young women, but because they vary so much. What this tells us is that no one really knows the true extent of crimes committed on college campuses because so many crimes go unreported to the police, especially sexual crimes. So what are you supposed to conclude from my ramblings?

Simply that if you have a daughter in college, you need to be concerned about her safety. She needs to be educated about the possibilities of falling victim to crime while she is pursuing her academic education. Not just rape or sexual assault, but other types of crime as well. While I was a student, my housemates and I came home one night to find that our house had been burglarized. We lived off campus, but were just across the street from the university’s multi-purpose athletic building. Although not very many of our belongings had been stolen, it was still a scary experience and we all felt violated by the experience. We called the police, but they told us not to expect them to find out who broke into our house. And they never did. Was the perpetrator a college student under the influence of alcohol or drugs? While I can’t say for sure, I am fairly certain that whoever it was, he/she was most likely intoxicated because he/she didn’t do a very “good job” of stealing our most valuable items and we noticed that all of our alcoholic beverages were taken.

So as a parent or college student, what can you do to make sure your daughter (or yourself) stays safe while at college?
